Help Megan with cancer treatment

Hi, my name is Staci and I am raising money to help my best friend with expenses associated with cancer. I met Megan in 5th grade when my family relocated to Oklahoma and she was the first person to befriend me. Over 20 years later, I consider her a sister.

Megan works as a fully time nurse for in home care. She has a passion for helping others and is always willing to overextend herself to be there when called upon.

Megan took on a full time mother role in 2023 for her husband’s children after their biological mother passed unexpectedly. She has a great relationship with them and is helping them cope with their loss.

Recently she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of thyroid cancer and underwent surgery a week later to remove it. Unfortunately, a portion couldn’t be removed without damaging her vocal cords (which could have left her unable to speak). She will be having another surgery in April to attempt to remove the portion left behind. As with many cancers, she will also be receiving radiation treatment to ensure all the cancer is gone after surgery. Megan and her family remain optimistic that the cancer will be defeated and they are leaning on their faith during this challenge.

With each surgery and continued treatment, she is out of work and, as we all know, life’s bills don’t stop for our illnesses.
