My name is Laura Blankenbeker, and I am a friend of Megan White. Megan White went to the ER on Saturday, December 28, for some symptoms that were increasingly bothering her. When bloodwork was run, the results came back indicating leukemia. She was sent to the Simon Cancer Center up in Indianapolis the same day. There, she was officially diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
In less than a day, mild symptoms had changed her life and that of her family's. She will be staying at the cancer center for approximately 6 weeks, and her children are not allowed to visit. The odds are against her, but she isn't playing the odds. She is a strong, otherwise healthy woman with a life worth fighting for. She started treatment today, December 31, 2024.
Her only resolution is to beat cancer in 2025 so her kids do not need to know what it is like to lose a mom at such an early age.
We are asking for financial help. Not only will the family be experiencing a pay cut, but they will be hit with medical bills. Jason will be working full-time and full-time parenting, while Megan is full-time healing and kicking cancer's butt while FaceTiming her children any chance she can.
Let's alleviate financial stress while Megan fights this battle.
