Please help Megan & Tim

Hi, my name is Natalie Landry and my husband Jeff and I are fundraising for our dear niece and her sweet husband Tim. Tim and Megan are both elementary teachers with Master’s degrees in western New York and they are employed by a small public rural school district. They are expecting their first child in February 2024.

On December 27th around midnight, Tim had a seizure and the paramedics were called. Tim was taken to the hospital and many tests were run. They found that he had bleeding and swelling in his brain, but the cause was unknown. After spending four nights in the hospital and undergoing many more tests, they were still unable to determine the issue due to swelling in the brain. Tim was sent home to rest and to return for another MRI. After his recent MRI, there was no improvement in the swelling, and they were still unable to get a clear image. After his team of neurologists reviewed his case, they have decided to do a PET scan this coming week and then a possible biopsy to follow. Tim has been taken out of work indefinitely. Due to the stage of her pregnancy and the extreme stress that this situation has created, Megan has also been taken off work so that she can concentrate on her health and the health of her baby.

As you can imagine, this medical crisis has been a great cause for concern and with much still unknown at this time, this young couple will be faced with financial hardship from mounting medical bills and the arrival of their first child very soon. They are not ones to ask for help as they have maintained a very frugal and responsible lifestyle, but this is more than anyone in their situation can take. If you are able to provide any support for this amazing couple, our family would be extremely grateful.
