Help Us Handle Diva's Medical Emergency

Hi, I'm Megan. My spouse and I have three beautiful senior cats, and Diva became very lethargic, clearly in pain, on Monday night (7/1). After getting her to the vet, it turns out that she has a horribly low red blood cell count due to a gastrointestinal bleed.

It took some time to figure that much out, and we still haven't determined the cause of the bleeding. She's had multiple blood infusions, and frankly, while we would do anything for our cats, we cannot afford this. Between the tests, transfusions, and overnight stays, the bill is already over $8,000.

Diva's timid with strangers, but she's got a purr that you can hear from two rooms over once she gets going. She loves to cuddle with her humans, and is not shy about letting us know when she wants attention. She's a chatty girl, who has a weird fascination with the shower and likes to play hide and seek.

We can't stand the prospect of not having done everything that we can for her, and while there's a significant chance that what she has is terminal, there's also a very good chance that it's an ulcer, and she'll recover as long as long as we can help her now.
