Hi, I’m Megan. On March 19, my dog Willow unfortunately was hit by a car. She was a fighter, and I had hope she would make it. I rushed her to the nearest emergency vet and waited for the news. Unfortunately, because of her condition when I brought her in, the vet recommended a critical care package, which was $950 upfront before they even looked at her. I had to ask a family member for the money as I’m currently unemployed right now due to my son needing occupational therapy twice a week. It was just a deposit to cover what they thought she would need as a just in case. They told me they would refund me whatever wasn’t needed for her treatment. Sadly, she didn’t make it through the X-rays, and she passed away peacefully and pain-free. They used $780 of the $950.
I would really love to be able to pay my family back as this is a hard time for everybody right now with the economy, and it was an unfortunate situation that had hit us. Willow was only 5 years old and honestly the love of my life. She was my best friend and then some. My son was extremely close to her as well, as she slept with him almost every night. She was our protector. Anyone that met Willow instantly fell in love with her. She was a kind-spirited dog with a bad rap because of her breed. She was honestly too good for this world, and now me and my family are left heartbroken. I appreciate anyone’s donation, even if it’s just a share.
