Help bring faithful fertility care to the dioceses of North Carolina!
Have you ever struggled, or know of someone who has struggled, to find a medical practice that provided holistic women’s healthcare that honored the teachings of the Catholic faith? Was that practice within a reasonable driving distance? Most likely it was not, if you are like me, and live in rural North Carolina. I have lived in both eastern North Carolina and western North Carolina and have struggled in both places to find a practice that would honor my faith. I aim to fix this problem for rural Catholic North Carolinians and anyone seeking pro-life women’s care.
My name is Megan Blum, and I am a Catholic certified physician assistant living in the Diocese of Charlotte. (My husband and I, and our two daughters, are pictured above.) This is my sixth year in the Church, and St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body played a huge part in my conversion. I strive to honor women's God-given dignity and design in my medical practice. I am eager to start a telehealth practice to provide fertility-awareness based medicine to women living in the two dioceses of North Carolina, especially women living in rural North Carolina. My goal is to study with three renowned fertility-awareness based medicine models: Naprotechnology, FEMM, and Marquette.
In total, I need to raise $13,000 to become certified in the three models mentioned above. Here is a cost break down:
-Naprotechnology Medical Consultant Program Tuition: $8,005
-FEMM Medical Management Intro and Masterclass Tuition: $1,000
-Marquette Model Lite and Medical Applications Tuition: $375
-Lodging, transportation, and meals for upcoming Naprotechnology Program: $3,620
This is where I need your help. Would you consider donating to help off-set the cost of the training programs? Any amount is much appreciated and will go toward the costs detailed above.
If you cannot donate, would you consider lifting me up in your prayers? Please pray that women in rural North Carolina and in other rural areas of the United States will find medical professionals that acknowledge their true and beautiful design. I will leave you with one last thought from Psalm 139 :14"I praise you, for I am wondrously made. Wonderful are your works!" May we all experience the wonder in God's glorious design of women and their gift of fertility.
