Help Support Megan Garrow’s Fight Toward Recovery

Our family is reaching out for support for my sister, Megan Garrow, as she fights through the most frightening and life-threatening health battle of her life.

What began as a severe case of pneumonia quickly escalated into sepsis, forcing doctors to place Megan into a medically induced coma while she was connected to a ventilator. During the worst of her illness, Megan suffered a cardiac arrest and had to be revived. It is truly a miracle that she is still here with us.

Megan has been in the hospital since before Thanksgiving, and we now know she will remain there through Christmas as doctors continue to work to get her infection under control. While we are incredibly grateful that she is awake and off the ventilator, her battle is far from over. She remains extremely weak, with significant muscle loss that leaves her unable to walk. She still requires supplemental oxygen, and her lungs have a long way to go before she can return home safely.

These unexpected medical emergencies have placed a heavy emotional and financial burden on Megan and our family. We’re asking for help to ease the growing costs of her care, including hospital bills, respiratory treatments, physical rehabilitation, and the support she will need once she is able to return home.
