Support Megan While Fighting Cancer and Welcoming New Life

My sister Megan and her husband Roy have been on a long and emotional journey to grow their family. After enduring four rounds of IVF-three unsuccessful and one miraculous success-Megan is now 23 weeks pregnant with their much-anticipated baby.

Recently, Megan discovered a lump on her neck, which led to a series of ultrasounds, biopsies, and doctor visits.

She has been diagnosed with papillary carcinoma of the thyroid, with the cancer also affecting her lymph nodes.

Megan was looking forward to spending her 6 weeks of paid maternity leave cherishing every moment with her hard-fought-for newborn. However, instead of the joyful maternity leave she envisioned, she will now have to undergo a neck dissection, total thyroid removal, and additional treatments.

At this time, it is unknown how long Megan will need to take off work to recover from surgery, undergo treatment, and care for herself while also adjusting to life with a newborn.

We are asking for your help to give Megan the time she needs to heal and bond with her baby without the financial strain of lost wages.
