My name is Elizabeth Coletti, and I am creating this GoFundMe for my dear friend Megan and her family.

Many of us in the Pine Plains community know Megan, and if you know her, you love her. She is truly one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. You’ll often see her at sporting events cheering on all the kids, always with a smile, while proudly supporting her own four wonderful children—Kairi, Aria, Harley, and Linkin. Megan is constantly giving her time and energy to others, whether it’s caring for children in our community, lending a helping hand, or stepping in whenever someone needs support. On a personal note, she has helped me with my own children at the drop of a hat more times than I can count.

Most recently, Megan became a friendly and familiar face as an employee at Cold Spring Early Learning Center. Sadly, Megan has just received a breast cancer diagnosis and is scheduled to undergo a lumpectomy on January 7th and then a double mastectomy 3 months after. This has all happened very quickly, and during her recovery she will be facing both physical and financial challenges. As a new school employee, she may not be eligible for compensation while she is out recovering.

My hope is to help ease some of the stress for Megan and her family during this difficult time, especially when it comes to caring for her children and covering everyday expenses. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world and help this incredible family focus on healing.
