Help Megan and Dennis Through Cancer Battle

Donation protected
UPDATE 9/21: THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH -Megan is overwhelmed with gratitude. Unfortunately there needs to be some clarification as we have been bombarded with threats to report this go fund me which is helping the Anderson Family-
Someone (screen shots available) want to make it clear that the flyer for the benefit in Milford is an event not affiliated with this go fund me for donations and she feels that it never should never have been promoted here with the belief that it will "divert" donations away from one or the other. The Anderson Village felt any promotion of any kind was helpful to Dennis who is struggling and needs our help.

We are raising funds HERE for Megan Sullivan Anderson to help support her family while her husband Dennis is currently hospitalized and has been out of work for months due to Cancer.

Many of us know that Dennis was diagnosed with Cancer in the beginning of July after suffering from symptoms for over six months prior to being correctly diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma with Trismus, which has spread. Unfortunately due to where the Cancer is, Dennis is not a candidate for surgery.

Dennis met with Radiation and the Chemo Department in July and his first question was “Well, I can go to work tomorrow and through all this, right?!”” As you can all imagine,
his world just crumbled when he was told that he was not able to return to work from that day on while going through this.

Throughout July and August Dennis went to UMass 5 days per week for Radiation, Chemo, labs, speech therapy, group meetings, Nutritionist appointments, ect. He’s been out of work for months and PFML has been a timely and very difficult process; but they are so thankful for the people who helped guide them.

Megan has been trying her best to postpone bills due, loans, etc., while trying to stay as positive as possible but she really needs our help.

On Monday 8/19, Dennis went in for his regular daily treatment, chemo, labs, etc., and they decided to keep him because he lost more weight and wasn’t able to eat at all. Plan was to get the feeding tube in that day.

Unfortunately over Labor Day weekend; after only a couple of days home, Dennis took another negative turn and has been hospitalized again since. They are truly struggling with the day to day and to just stay afloat.

Times like these require a village to show up. I'm hoping our Hiller Village turns up strong...We all know times are tough for everyone but please consider sharing this page if you can not donate. Offer words of encouragement and reach out to Meg to see if rides are helpful or meals delivered would be helpful. There are so many ways we can all help if a small donation is not possible.
