Help Megan and Amaya Avoid Eviction

Hello, my name is Megan Abner and my daughter’s name is Amaya Abner. We are coming to Gofundme today for help so we are not evicted and homeless.

I have been recently laid off from my employer, and have been seeking employment for the past 5 weeks. I am limited to what I can do as far as employment due to a medical condition that is very painful (fibromyalgia.) It has been extremely difficult finding a job, I have never seen the job market as bad as it is right now. Amaya is also seeking work from home as well and has also had a difficult time. She is currently in school.

Asking for help is extremely difficult for us and is our last resort. I know we all struggle in one aspect of our lives or another, but we are facing eviction and we are very scared. Our other bills are also past due as well as Amaya’s classes.

My mom, who has been such a blessing to us, has helped as much as she could with food, etc. but she has her own bills to pay. We have lived paycheck to paycheck prior to being laid off, as many of us do so we don’t have money saved in the bank to cushion us until we find employment. I was actually happy living paycheck to paycheck. As long as we were okay.

We also have a cat named Moka and a tiny snake named Pluto who we love and care for.
