Help Mega Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Sarah Williams, and I am reaching out for help on behalf of my partner of 23 years, Mega, who lives in the village of Nine Miles, located in the hills of St. Ann Parish, in Jamaica. His community was hit hard by Hurricane Melissa, leaving behind devastating damage to homes, roads, farms, and livelihoods.

Mega’s house was severely impacted — parts of the roof were torn off, belongings were destroyed, and access to clean water and electricity has been unstable since the storm.

Despite the hardship, Mega has been doing everything possible to help neighbors clear debris, share food, and keep spirits high. But rebuilding after a storm like this takes more than strength and heart — it takes resources that are hard to come by right now.

I’m asking for your help to:
  • Repair the roof and structure of Mega’s home so it’s safe again
  • Replace essentials like bedding, clothing, and cooking supplies lost in the storm
  • Provide food, water, and basic necessities for Mega and his son who also lives in Nine Miles

Every “mickle mek a muckle” is a Jamaican proverb meaning that small things add up to create something large. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. If you are unable to give financially, please share this campaign so we can reach more people who care.

Jamaica is known for its resilience and love — and right now, that love can shine through your generosity.

Thank you for standing with Mega as he and the members of his community work to rebuild after Hurricane Melissa.

One Love ❤️

With my sincere gratitude,
Sarah Williams
