Helping the Most Compassionate Helper
Family and friends,
Meg Duffy has spent most of her life giving back to others.
In her work as an educator, administrator and mentor, Meg’s changed the lives of countless young people. For years, she’s poured her energy into supporting her students, guiding and encouraging them along their life path, lifting them up with food, clothes, haircuts, books, and gift cards (anything to make a challenging life at home more manageable), and committing her time to creating learning environments where every single child in the classroom can thrive and can feel safe, encouraged and loved.
Meg brings this same love and energy to her role as a mom to two amazing girls, Cali and Maive, and she’s always fought to give her children the life they deserve.
Meg’s been a fighter and a giver her entire life.
And now, it’s time we give this energy and love back to her, and that we join her in the fight.
Meg was recently diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive type of cancer that requires surgery and multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.
For anyone who has dealt with this dreadful disease, you know it goes well beyond just focusing on beating cancer and getting better. It comes with expenses you never expected; life saving scans and treatments not covered by insurance, cost of travel to and from your most trusted doctors, and raising children in college while possibly being out of work for an extended period of time.
We need to show up for Meg in the same way she would show up for us.
It takes a village to fight cancer and we want to make sure Meg knows she’s not alone.
We hope you will consider contributing, and sharing our fundraiser link, too.
With love and gratitude,
