Help Meg Get Vital Surgery for Endo Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

Donation protected
My name’s Meg, I’m 29, and I’ve lived with a non-functioning pelvic floor for 13 years. I’m raising funds to have my rectum removed, a surgery that could finally give me a real quality of life. Please watch my 2nd pinned video on my TikTok (@pelvicflaw) where I explain everything in detail.

I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis, which has damaged the nerves in my pelvis leading to the development of severe pelvic floor dysfunction. I’ve also developed a large rectocele after years of severe constipation, it causes me constant pain and pressure.

Four months ago, I had an ileostomy because of severe constipation. Before that, I was on daily laxatives and a weekly disimpaction regime (taking 8 sachets a day for 3 days - the same as bowel prep before a colonoscopy). This was just to help me pass tiny amounts and reduce how often I was admitted to hospital after going 3 weeks or more without passing anything.

Even with my ileostomy, I’m still suffering. My rectum continues to produce mucus that I physically can’t pass for around 5 days at a time. It causes unbearable pressure and pain, and I can’t sleep or function. Every time this happens, my life stops completely. I can’t plan ahead, work, or live freely until it passes. This cycle will continue until my rectum is removed.

I want to use my experience to help others. I want to create content to raise awareness for people with chronic illnesses, to talk about the taboo topics, and to help others learn to advocate for themselves - the way I had to.

Without online creators, I would never have learned enough to advocate for my endometriosis diagnosis or to get my ileostomy surgery. I want to become that voice for others - for young people in pain who aren’t believed, for those told it’s “all in their head,” and for those dismissed with antidepressants and counselling instead of investigating what is actually wrong.

I want to spread education about pelvic floor disorders and endometriosis, and one day, I hope to start a charity. But right now, my non-functioning rectum is holding me back from living, creating, and healing.

If you’re able to donate or share my story, I would be so deeply grateful. Every share helps bring me one step closer to relief and the chance to build something meaningful from all this pain.

Thank you so much for reading.
