Hi everyone! My name is Victoria, and I am a first-year medical student at UNECOM and am currently serving as our school's Global Health President. We are passionate about serving underserved communities and learning how to provide compassionate, whole-person care both locally and globally.
This year, our club has the opportunity to support Floating Doctors, an incredible nonprofit organization that partners with local communities and healthcare providers in Panama to deliver sustainable medical care to remote and underserved villages. Floating Doctors works alongside local leaders and physicians to provide primary care, health education, and long-term community support — not just short-term aid.
We are raising funds directly for Floating Doctors to help support their mission and the essential resources needed to continue this work, including medical supplies, transportation to remote villages, and support for their ongoing clinics. Every dollar donated goes toward expanding access to care for individuals and families who otherwise may not receive consistent medical services.
As medical students and future physicians, experiences like these are incredibly formative. They allow us to learn from communities, understand global health disparities firsthand, and grow into physicians who lead with humility, empathy, and service. Supporting organizations like Floating Doctors aligns deeply with our values and our commitment to advancing equitable healthcare.
Thank you so much for considering a donation, sharing this page, or supporting global health work in any way. Your generosity helps make compassionate, sustainable medical care possible for communities who need it most.
