Hello Baseball Community...

In 2022 we were able to raise enough funds to provide a team of girls from both Tijuana and Mexicali Mexico to play in the Leighton Accardo Memorial All Girls Baseball tournament in Arizona (as the Waves 10U).   This tournament experience really lit the fire in the girls baseball community in Tijuana.

In June of this year – BFA and Mujeres en el Diamante hosted a girls baseball clinic in the Tijuana Toros’ stadium with approximately 80 girls ages 6-16 participating.  The following day there was an international 12U friendly between a BFA team from the US and Mexico.   With this momentum – they are starting the first ever all girls baseball league in Tijuana for ages 7-14 (Liga Femenil Infantil de Beisbol).

We are now trying to raise funds to provide tournament fees and uniform costs for a team of 11 & 12 year old girls to play for the Waves at the 12U division at the Leighton Accardo All Girls Baseball tournament in Arizona in December of this year.  

This is the only girls baseball tournament that these families are able to afford the travel to because they can drive to Arizona.

We are looking to raise a minimum of $1500 to offset the tournament fees, uniforms and some travel expenses.  Any additional funds will go towards sponsorship of this new league in Tijuana.

We will be collecting used gear at the tournament to provide to the girls of this new league.
