Help Mealo on his road to recovery

Hi, my name is Brandon and I’m fundraising to help my lifelong friend ‘Mealo’ get one step ahead on his road to recovery.

Marcus, as some of you may know, lives, eats and breathes football - and always has done.

Unfortunately he recently sustained a career threatening injury whilst playing the game he has dedicated his life to. Mealo has suffered a triple leg break which required immediate surgery and his recovery to get back to the game he loves has now started.

This fundraiser will go towards post surgery treatment and extended rehabilitation. Hoping we can raise enough to cover his loss of earnings and to provide him some extra support as he recovers.

Marcus has been a huge figure in the non-league scene, amassing hundreds of senior appearances, across various clubs and districts, winning league titles with both boyhood club Marlow FC and most recently Ascot United. He was also an important member of the Ascot team who won the 2023 FA Vase - a huge achievement. His current club, Flackwell Heath, sit top of the league and need just 2 wins to become league champions, whilst also battling to become league cup winners.

Across his 16 seasons in semi-pro football, alongside his dedication to local football Mealo has positively affected so many people - myself included. He has played with and against hundreds of different players, played under various different chairman’s and managers and played for hundreds of different fans. That’s why I am hoping we can come together as a community to support him in this challenging time.
