Help Meagan Save Destiny: Urgent Surgery Needed

Donation protected
Hi everyone! I’m starting this Gofundme for my sister Meagan & her dog, Destiny — who need support raising the funds for Destiny's vet expenses & her upcoming emergency surgery

Destiny has been sick for over a week, refusing to eat and unable to use the bathroom. Vet sent them to Ark Animal Hospital Monday and they ruled out pancreatitis and/or any obstructions. Her labs came back okay, but she was still unable to eat.

UPDATE 1: So, they thought it was her spleen and possibly something going on with her kidneys. It was hard to be certain exactly on the imagery so they were sent to a specialist hospital to treat her. There isn't any in Rochester, so they had to travel to buffalo. They classified her as critical. They said it may be Cancer, but not for sure, she needs to be seen by a specialist and admitted somewhere she can be monitored 24/7.

UPDATE 2: They ended up staying the night in Buffalo. They wanted her to have an ultrasound so they could better determine what exactly is going on. This morning however, wasn't good.

UPDATE 3:
They found a large abdominal mass on our girl. Due to its size, (6.7cm x 7.8 cm) and shadowing on the imagery, they were unable to see where exactly it's associated to. They were able to extract some of the fluid from the mass to send for biopsy. The fluid was very puss and blood tinged looking. She has a huge abscess stemming from who knows what/why/or where. They believe that the concern originally about her spleen was due to it being smashed by this abscess and is no longer the overall issue.

They said that from what they have so far, they believe the mass to be due to one of a couple of things. 1. A fragment that was missed from her spay (over 4 years ago) that became infected and just grew. 2. The abscess is due to an infection caused by something she ate out of the garbage a week ago that scraped, or cut something, and then just was super contaminated and caused the abscess. 3. It's is a secondary issue depending on where, or what it's associated to organ wise.
So, they have transferred them to ANOTHER hospital here in Buffalo for an "exploratory abdominal surgery with complete mass removal". They will remove the mass, but also be able to see where it came from and possibly why, and if it's due to a left over piece of her hysterectomy, they will thoroughly search and remove any other possible "issues" and "affected" things due to it. They will also be able to actually look around in there and see what is exactly going on. After all that is done we will be able to know an actual prognosis, let alone what to expect in the coming days.

UPDATE 4
We were able to use care credit by increasing our limit to 15k but have used a little over 8k so far and we aren't out of the woods yet. There was an exploratory surgery don't and her entire abdomen was filled with infection. She's been on antibiotics, pain meds and a drainage tube has been put in. Soon we will have another ctscan to see where the infection is stemming from and go from there. Any help you can give is extremely helpful and we are so thankful for the love and support! ✨️✨️
