Mom always said that life isn’t fair, but I never expected her life to be taken from me. It’s hard to imagine that my mother will never see me graduate from high school or college, won’t be there when I get my first car, will never see me walk down the aisle at my wedding, and will never get the opportunity to meet her future grandchildren.
She was right, it’s not fair. I miss her terribly. My mother, Nichole Landsem, recently passed away. Our dream was that she would be healthy enough to travel and attend my highschool graduation after fighting guillain barre syndrome for almost 2 years. She held true to her promise and was almost able to leave her bed after being paralyzed for over 6 months.
My first four days at my new school were a blessing and I met some amazing people. That Friday morning I was at school when they had called me to the counselors for what I had believed was about schedule. I was confused why my cousin was in the counselor's office. Hearing the devastating news of my mom passing was unimaginable. I had only lived in Virginia for two weeks and was reassured by the progress she was making. Unfortunately, she succumbed to heart failure before she was able to fulfill our dream. We had plans for how things were going to play out this year while she was recovering and getting stronger each day. This was not in our plans at all. Now finding out the costs of funeral expenses is just more than I can handle. I never thought I’d be planning a go fund me to help bury my mom.
Unfortunately, it is very expensive and we don’t have the funds. If you can please find it in your heart to donate any amount to my mother’s funeral expenses I will be so very grateful. All of the proceeds are to help with the basic expenses for her funeral. I hope to get enough to also get a small headstone. Something just big enough to put flowers on when I go visit my mom.
I love my mom so much and her death will never stop that love. Any help is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. $20 for you means the world to me. Thank you<3
