As a freelance illustrator, and especially as an illustrator in a very niche field (cartography for tabletop games, novels and the like) it is a daily struggle to keep on top of my finances. Due to a really bad year last year work-wise (as generative AI, tariffs and general global chaos run riot through my industry), this has resulted in me pretty much having to max out two credit cards which I am now stuck trying to pay off.

So far, I've just about managed to make the monthly repayments, but it's eating so much into the sporadic money i'm earning from freelance commissions that treading water is all I seem to be able to do, with the minimum repayments not even making a dent in what's due.

I'm not *quite* drowning yet, but I'm certainly starting to run out of air, and the stress is...a lot, actually.

So...I generally don't like to ask this - I feel like there are a lot more important and worthy causes to be donating your money to, - but I think I need help. Any money donated to this gofundme will be *exclusively* used for clearing as much as I can from my cards, and no other purposes.

I don't expect i'll hit the maximum goal for this, everyone is hurting for money right now, but frankly *any* amount that can be spared will help give me breathing space. Even if I can get just 10-20% of my targets that would help ease a little of the pressure.
