In 2024 I bought a house with my cousin. We were good spirited about it and went in 50/50. I was there to help out on the monetary side of daily life with her son, and she was there to help me out on the physical disability side of my daily life. I have the MCAS/PoTS/hypermobile triad as well as fibromyalgia and scoliosis.

Since I'm making a GoFundMe, it's not going to surprise you that it didn't really work out like that.

She's not held up her end of helping to maintain the house. This led to her neglecting a leak that she and her boyfriend knew about for at minimum 6 months. My closet began visibly molding last spring. They have since resolved the leak, but the water damage and mold continues to exist in my bedroom/office. It's spring again and the weather is warm and humid, awakening the mold. Both myself and my cats are showing obvious symptoms of reaction to it.

There are a lot of other issues with her lack of accountability within the house. It's dirty in a lot of other ways as well. I need to remove myself from the filth and the mold.

I have found a lawyer and have paid the retainer. But lawyers are expensive. If you have anything at all to give, it would really help me as I try extricate myself from this situation. Anything I receive goes to the lawyer and nowhere else.
