Since I was 19 years old, I have been fighting Lupus SLE, Lupus Nephritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. These autoimmune disorders have resulted in the loss of my kidney function. So currently, at 33, I'm fighting for my life in more ways than most. End Stage Renal Disease is the complete loss of kidney function and my options are limited to Dialysis and Transplant. Before, I had the option to select chemotherapy for two of my autoimmune disorders. Unfortunately, that option has been removed from my plan of care, and I need a much more extensive treatment. I've always tried to stay positive and move forward. I've never wanted my diagnoses to define me. I've always been private about my health so that everyone could see me for myself and not label me or count me out due to my disabilities. I can't lie, I have a lot to be grateful for. One of my biggest blessings was being able to bring my AndiRose into the world. It hurts my heart that she has to see me go through my medical condition, whether in the hospital or on a tough day after dialysis. We both keep a smile on our faces and stay strong in our spiritual walk, keeping God first. My battles have been hard, but I know God is walking with me and even carrying me through my hardships. I'm currently on the kidney transplant list and have moved forward to a point in the process that requires me to have adequate finances for medication, hospitalization, co-pays, and a percentage of the actual procedure. My insurance only covers so much. I've created this GoFundMe to help get proper financing to show this program that I will have enough to move on in the process. After this part is completed, I would go on the donor list. This is very hard to share my situation in public. However, I want to have a life and see my Rosebud grow up. So this is me, exhausting all my resources so I can know I did everything I could. All and any help will be greatly appreciated.
