Hello,
My name is Phoenix Windsor. I’m a 13-year-old student at Berwick College. I’m the second eldest of 4 siblings from a family of 6. My dad works and mum spends her time taking care of our family & home.
My dream and goal is to play basketball at the highest level. In the past 5 years I have played representative basketball with Dandenong Rangers and last season represented Basketball Hawthorn.
My dedication and hard work together with my teammates have helped me secure Grand Final wins in the Victorian Junior Basketball League under 14's (winning MVP). Dandenong Eltham Tournament., National Junior Classic (Winning MVP), Nationals second place winners. Basketball Hawthorn Club MVP, Winner of the Southern Cross Challenge.
Representing my school (Berwick Secondary College) in the recent Australian School Championships we won the National title for the Under 15 Boys. As a result of this outstanding achievement the Berwick Secondary team have been selected to represent Australia in the World Schools Under 15 Basketball Championships, which will be held in Zadar, Croatia.
I am so happy and honored for this opportunity to represent my country. My family & I are working hard for me to achieve this goal. However, we need to raise funds for my flights, accommodation, uniforms, meals, etc. etc. There is no government funding for this tournament. Our target is $6,500Aud.
