Hello friends, family, and community,

This is not an easy post for me to write, but it is an honest one.

He is now threatening to sue for defamation, so I have edited this story accordingly.

I am currently going through a divorce from an (allegedly) abusive spouse, and as part of that process, financial support that once helped cover our household expenses has suddenly stopped. I am now doing my best to keep things stable while navigating the legal system and rebuilding my independence.

I am a working musician in New Orleans, a woman rebuilding after a very difficult chapter, and a community member who has spent years helping others organize their lives, create beauty, and find their footing. Now, I find myself in a season where I need help myself.

This fundraiser is for temporary support to cover essential household expenses until I am able to secure full-time employment and/or receive financial assistance through the court system. My first court date is scheduled for June 23, and I am hopeful that a formal support order will be put in place at that time.

In the meantime, I am working, applying for jobs, and doing everything I can to move forward responsibly.

The funds raised will help cover basic necessities, including Utilities, Groceries, Gas and transportation, Pet food and medications, Health insurance and prescription medications , and Other essential household expenses.

I currently have eight animals depending on me, and while my goats are temporarily staying with a friend to lighten my load, I am still responsible for caring for the rest of my household. They are part of my family, and keeping them safe and healthy is one of my top priorities.

This support is not intended to be permanent. It is a bridge—help to get me through a challenging transition while I stabilize my finances and rebuild my life.
