Hi, my name is Teesha. I’m 42 years old, a loving wife, and a proud mum of two beautiful boys. I’m sharing my story in the hope that you can help me take back my health, my mobility, and my ability to care for my family.
I’ve been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and a herniated L5 disc that’s pressing on my spinal cord and nerves, causing constant and severe pain. Simple daily tasks — walking, standing, sitting, or sleeping — have become incredibly difficult. The longer I wait, the higher the risk of permanent nerve damage.
After consultations with specialists, I’ve been told I need spinal surgery as soon as possible. I’ve explored all possible options:
Private health insurance won’t cover the procedure
Public hospital wait times are 12 to 18 months — far too long given the level of pain and deterioration
I currently have no income due to my condition and can’t afford the surgery on my own
That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your help. This surgery is life-changing, but I can’t afford to wait. That’s why I’m turning to you — my community, friends, family, and kind strangers — to help me raise $20,000 for the surgery and recovery costs.
What Your Donation Will Support:
Spinal Surgery
Hospital and specialist fees
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
Mobility aids and recovery care
This surgery means the chance to live a life free from pain — to walk again, to sleep peacefully, to care for my husband and children the way I want to. I want to be there for my boys, not just emotionally, but physically. I want to enjoy life again.
If you’re able to donate, every dollar brings us closer to that goal. And even if you can’t give, please consider sharing this page with others. Your kindness and generosity mean more than I can ever put into words.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you.
With love and gratitude,
Teesha
