This past December, I had the honor of defending my dissertation with Distinction. This journey has been one of the most challenging of my life—emotionally, physically, and financially. But through it all, I’ve been driven by the unwavering support of so many of you who have stood by me from the very beginning. This achievement isn’t just mine; it belongs to all of us.

My graduation is in May, and while I’m beyond excited to celebrate this hard-earned doctorate, the financial burden has made this milestone feel nearly impossible to manage on my own. The costs of travel from New Mexico to Chicago, regalia ($800 for the graduation robe), and manuscript/copyright fees have added up quickly.
