Hi, my name is Kim, and I’m having major hip surgery on August 4th. I’ve been in constant pain for months and can barely walk without a cane some days I rely on a wheelchair just to get around. I also live with a connective tissue disorder that makes healing even more complicated and will take longer to recover from an already painful long recovery.

This surgery is essential for me to regain my mobility and independence. Even with insurance, I’m facing over $5,000 upfront just to have the procedure not including recovery costs, medication, or the medical equipment I’ll need afterward.

As a mom to a special needs child, being physically present and able to keep up with my kid is everything to me. I truly hate asking for help, but right now, I can’t do this alone.

For anyone who knows me, you know I’m a huge Star Wars nerd and right now, I’m leaning into my inner Jedi and hoping the Force (and a little help from the community) will get me through this battle.
