Long story short: I was in a terrible car accident on May 5th, 2025, which resulted in an internal decapitation, of which only 2% of people survive, and if they do, they are usually paralyzed. To prepare my family for the worst, the doctors said depending on nerve damage, I may be paralyzed and never walk again. Thankfully, I survived and have mobility of my body. I had over 10 surgeries, and more are expected. The first several were just to stop internal bleeding and stabilize me. Finally, they were able to perform the surgery to attach my head back to my spinal column. The first vertebra of my spine was removed, and a titanium plate was attached to my skull to fuse it back onto my spine. Along with internal decapitation, I suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) resulting in double vision and a complete destruction of my right hip and pelvis. The doctors said my left hip was floating, not attached to anything. A few surgeries later, I had multiple rods, pins, and plates put into my legs, feet, hip, and pelvis. I also needed a skin graph for my right leg. I have been non-weight bearing in both legs and need to wear a neck/spinal brace when above a 45-degree angle for just over 2 months now. I had to go to a rehab facility for 2 weeks just to learn to sit up and transfer from bed to wheelchair. I will need to go back to rehab to learn how to walk again after the remainder of my surgeries. This has been the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, and I am grateful to be alive and KICKING! However, I have exhausted my insurance, applied for any aid I can receive, but it isn't enough to cover my medical expenses. My family will also be hosting a fundraiser to help, details TBD. I want to THANK YOU ahead of time for your donations and/or just taking the time to read my story. Any leftover expenses will be Donated to any of the facilities or teams that have helped me during this incredibly difficult time.
