In the past year, my life has been turned upside down by two freak accidents. The first left me with a shattered and dislocated ankle, and just as I was beginning to recover, I suffered a second accident that nearly took my life. I endured a broken neck, traumatic brain injury, shattered orbital bone, broken nose, broken collar bone, and partial hearing loss in my right ear. These injuries resulted in multiple hospital stays and a mountain of medical debt of $141,528.07 that I am struggling to manage on my own. I have continued to work and attempted to pay it down on my own until this point and now I am facing another financial issue...

I am now facing a third surgery on my ankle. This procedure is my best hope to walk normally and live pain free again, but my insurance has denied coverage, leaving me with no way to afford the care I desperately need which was stated to be an up front cost of $22,000 not including the anesthesia or the cost of the surgeon. Meaning at this point, my option is live with a leg that makes impossible to even talk my dog around the block because I can't afford it. The weight of my medical bills and the uncertainty about my future have been overwhelming, but I am determined to keep moving forward. I am currently and actively seeking out alternative options, surgical teams, treatments and plans to help gain some mobility back.
