Hi, my name is Matt, and I’m a lifelong guitar teacher and musician who lives with essential tremor and uses deep brain stimulation (DBS) to help me keep doing what I love — teaching music and inspiring others.
My amazing daughter, Camryn, is turning 18 years old on October 25th. She’s a bright, creative young artist on the autism spectrum, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. She lives over 7 hours (2 states) away, and this milestone birthday is incredibly special — it marks the start of her adult life, and I want more than anything to be there in person to celebrate it with her.
Unfortunately, due to current financial struggles, I can’t afford the full cost of the trip on my own right now. I’ve mapped everything out carefully — gas, tolls, hotel, and food — and the subtotal comes to about $600. I also have to take 3 days off of work which would add approximately $200 extra to the grand total.
That’s why I’m reaching out for help. Your support would make it possible for me to spend a couple of days with Camryn, share meals, laugh, and make new memories together — something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.
Every bit truly helps, no matter how small.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and for helping a dad be there for one of the most important moments in his daughter’s life.
