I am in the last stages of COPD, and my daily life has become much more challenging. I live too far from any stores to walk, and getting around on my own has become nearly impossible. I am in need of a portable electric wheelchair that folds so I can transport it in a car, as well as a portable oxygen concentrator approved by the airlines. These items are not just conveniences—they are necessities for me to maintain my independence and quality of life. i need to fly from Maine to WV to see my daughter (i hate flying).
One of my biggest hopes right now is to visit my only daughter, who lives out-of-state and is expecting her first baby in April. Being there for her and welcoming my grandchild would mean the world to me. Unfortunately, without a portable oxygen concentrator, I am not allowed to fly, and without a portable wheelchair, I cannot get around once I arrive. These medical devices are essential for me to make this important trip and to continue living as fully as possible.
Anything you can give would be a help. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting me. Your kindness and generosity would make a tremendous difference in my life, and I am deeply grateful for any support you can offer.
