Hi!

My name is Amber, and I live in the UK, while my wonderful fiancée, V, lives in the USA - thank you for taking the time to take a look at our fundraiser!

V shall be undergoing an important surgery in August, which will have a recovery period of several weeks, the first of which must be spent within a certain distance of the hospital. As a result, she must book a nearby hotel but, as she is travelling from a different state and lacks a reliable support network, she will not have anyone to tend to her needs or support her during her first (and likely most painful and difficult) week of recovery.

I want nothing more than to be by her side throughout the process (the first week at the hotel, and the following weeks staying with a mutual friend), to care for and look after her, so that she can focus on recovering... I can't stand the thought of her being alone with nobody to care for her while in such a vulnerable state.

Unfortunately, we can't currently afford the plane tickets for me to travel out there and back; my own life is in a fairly chaotic state, having recently been forced to relocate due to unsafe living circumstances, which unfortunately resulted in me also having to leave my job, leaving me relying upon the kindness and support of my friends and wonderful fiancée.

V, meanwhile, is disabled, to the point of barely being able to work in the first place, and has had to take time off from her job due to this surgery, meaning her already-limited income will be stretched thin, so she isn't able to help with financing the plane tickets, either.

If I am able to travel to America to care for my beautiful bride-to-be then, after her recovery period, we would like to get married; not a big, fancy ceremony, just a simple officiation of a $25 marriage license, with a couple of witnesses. Along with being a wonderful way to celebrate the success of her surgery and recovery, it would also make it easier for us to be together in the future in regards to visas and such, as well as making both of us happier than we could possibly imagine, of course!

We are asking for support to purchase the plane tickets that would be necessary to make it happen, with any potential surplus funds being put towards related expenses such as booking the hotel, unexpected medical fees, additional travel expenses, and the general daily costs of tending to the needs of someone who is recovering from a serious surgery.

Any and all support makes a difference, and we are both incredibly grateful for anyone who even considers helping us in the slightest; V generally doesn't like asking for help (even from me!), but it breaks my heart to think of her having to go through such a thing on her own, so I am desperate to find a way to be by her side throughout it all (as I intend to do forevermore)!

Please help close the distance and bring a lovestruck couple together during a time of need, while enabling us to take a foundational step towards beginning the rest of our shared life.
