Please help me complete my Kickstarter campaign!
In 2018 I ran a successful campaign for Unbroken: a solo game of survival and revenge . Over 16,500 people put their trust into the campaign and supported it.
Unfortunately, well into campaign fulfillment, working with the publisher of the game, Golden Bell Studios, we discovered that the original costs for shipping the game were drastically underestimated.
As a result, the wonderful experience of making this game has turned into an ongoing challenge of dealing with insufficient budget to ship out all the games at this time.
The campaign is partially fulfilled with almost all backers in North America receiving this game and the UK shipment on its way to backers. However, the fulfillment of other regions is on hold as the publisher generates additional funds through sales of extra copies created as part of the print run. Those that were able to provide extra funding to cover the shipping discrepancy are getting their copies this year, but others have to wait until the funds are generated.
Having the backers in Europe, Asia and Australia wait like this with no specific time when their games will get to them makes me feel absolutely terrible. So I am doing this fundraising campaign to generate additional funds so that we can send these games as soon as possible.
I am realistic that I will not be able to raise the entirety of the funds still needed to complete the campaign, but I intend to provide as much as possible to help keep things moving.
Who am I asking for help?
Anyone who is willing to help, really.
If you are a friend – I could really use your support to help fix an issue that’s been troubling me deeply for the past year.
If you are a backer – we likely already asked you for help and it’s possible you already provided such help. Thank you to those that did. We do need every extra bit that we can collect and so I am asking for this completely optional support to ensure that all copies of the game can make it to all backers, and we can finally wrap up this Kickstarter.
If you have no relationship to the campaign and came here based on the wide coverage that all things Unbroken has received and can provide some help, it would be most appreciated.
Funding goal perks
I want to make sure that I provide some sort of extra Unbroken-related content as my thanks for help. I hope that the little achievements below will help stimulate the support that this campaign receives and will generate extra fun things around Unbroken! The focus is on items that are not critical but should provide a good deal of entertainment :)
How will you use the funds raised?
The entirety of the funds will be used to ship remaining copies of Unbroken to backers around the world. The available funds will be proportionally divided between regions to enable more backers to receive their games in a timely fashion.
Before transferring the money to enable the shipment I will be adding an additional $1,000 from my personal funds to ensure I’m doing my part.
