Help Me Travel to SIP at UC Santa Cruz

Hi all!

I'm Mariam, an Egyptian high school student passionate about astronomy, physics, and quantum computing — fields that spark my curiosity and drive my dream of contributing to future scientific breakthroughs.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been accepted into the Science Internship Program (SIP) at UC Santa Cruz, a prestigious research program where I’ll work alongside top scientists on advanced projects in astrophysics and quantum science.

After reaching out to the SIP team, they generously covered both the $4,250 program tuition and $6,650 housing costs — an incredible total of $10,900. Now, I only need to raise $1,000 to cover the remaining costs: international travel and visa fees.

For me, SIP is not just a summer program — it’s a unique opportunity to gain hands-on research experience, collaborate with experts, and take a significant step toward my dream of advancing scientific knowledge in my home country and beyond.
