My name is Vanessa Brousseau, and I am an Inuk advocate, artist, and speaker. My sister Pamela Holopainen went missing in 2003. Her case remains unsolved. Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to raising awareness about Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP), human trafficking, and systemic injustices facing Indigenous communities.

For years now, I’ve traveled where I could to educate and advocate — in schools, at community events, and online as Resilient Inuk. But the cost of constant travel is high, and many schools and organizations can’t afford to bring me in. That’s why I’m asking for your help.

I’m raising funds to purchase a used RV that will allow me to travel across Canada and offer in-person presentations, workshops, and healing circles. This isn’t just a short-term tour — this is a long-term commitment. I’m prepared to dedicate years of my life, going province to province, creating awareness and making space for conversations around Indigenous justice, culture, and healing. If I am not successful at reaching my goal, the funds raised will go towards other MMIWG2S commitments to create change.

The RV will be branded with “Resilient Inuk” and “Creating Awareness One Kilometre at a Time”, and it will allow me to reach remote communities, reduce costs for schools, and live modestly on the road while continuing my advocacy work full-time.

I’m not expecting people to give what they don’t have. Even sharing this campaign or praying for this dream to become a reality helps more than you know.
