Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’ve been given an opportunity that feels almost unreal—and I need your help to make it possible.
I was recently accepted to intern at Boragó, currently ranked #23 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list. This is a three-month internship in South America where I’ll be learning from one of the most innovative kitchens in the world.
For me, this isn’t just an internship—it’s a life-changing chance to grow, learn, and bring something meaningful back to my community.
Over the past two and a half years, I’ve worked incredibly hard to carve my own path in the culinary world. I didn’t go to culinary school, and I haven’t worked in a traditional restaurant setting—but through dedication, creativity, and the support of family, friends, chefs, and my community, I’ve been able to reach opportunities I once thought were out of reach. Why I Need Your Help
This internship is unpaid, and during those three months, I’ll still need to cover my responsibilities back home while also supporting myself abroad.
I’m hoping to raise $20,000 to help cover:
* Rent and essential bills back home while I’m away
* Flight/Travel there and back
* Housing, food, and transportation in South America
* Costs associated with creative projects and pop-up dinners I plan to host during my time there
This support would allow me to fully commit to this experience without the stress of financial strain.

My goal has always been to create experiences that bring people together—blending food and music in a way that builds community, tells stories, and creates connection. The knowledge, techniques, and inspiration I gain from this experience will directly fuel that vision.

Hola a todos,
Me acerco a ustedes porque me han dado una oportunidad que se siente casi irreal—y necesito su ayuda para hacerla posible.
Recientemente fui aceptado para realizar una pasantía en Boragó, actualmente clasificado como el #23 en la lista de The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Es una pasantía de tres meses en Sudamérica donde aprenderé de una de las cocinas más innovadoras del mundo.
Para mí, esto no es solo una pasantía—es una oportunidad que puede cambiar mi vida para crecer, aprender y traer algo significativo de regreso a mi comunidad.
Durante los últimos dos años y medio, he trabajado increíblemente duro para abrirme camino en el mundo culinario. No asistí a una escuela culinaria ni he trabajado en un restaurante tradicional—pero a través de dedicación, creatividad y el apoyo de mi familia, amigos, chefs y mi comunidad, he logrado alcanzar oportunidades que antes creía fuera de mi alcance. Aquí tienes algunas muestras de mi trabajo y del tipo de experiencias que he estado creando:

Ser aceptado en un lugar así tan temprano en mi camino es algo que no doy por sentado.
Por qué necesito su ayuda
Esta pasantía no es remunerada, y durante esos tres meses seguiré teniendo responsabilidades que cubrir en casa mientras también debo sostenerme en el extranjero.
Espero recaudar $20,000 para ayudar a cubrir:
* Renta y gastos esenciales en casa mientras estoy fuera
* Vuelo y transporte de ida y vuelta
* Vivienda, comida y transporte en Sudamérica
* Costos asociados con proyectos creativos y cenas pop-up que planeo realizar durante mi estancia

Lo que esto significa para el futuro
Esta oportunidad es mucho más que trabajar en una cocina de clase mundial.
Se trata de lo que puedo traer de vuelta.
Mi objetivo siempre ha sido crear experiencias que unan a las personas—mezclando comida y música de una manera que construya comunidad, cuente historias y genere conexión. El conocimiento, las técnicas y la inspiración que obtenga de esta experiencia alimentarán directamente esa visión.
Con su ayuda, podré regresar no solo con nuevas habilidades, sino también con nuevas ideas, una perspectiva más profunda y la capacidad de retribuir a la misma comunidad que me ha apoyado desde el principio.
