Hello, I am Sham, I am 9 months old

I was born from the belly of the tent

I live with my mother, father, and three brothers in a tent in front of the rubble of our house.

There is no greater innocence in the world than the innocence of children. Together, we as humanity can all play a role in protecting what we can for four children who have been caught in hellish conditions beyond our scope of comprehension.

Ellen, Janan, Jude, and Sham need our help.

We are able to give what was stripped away from them.

Ellen, Janan, and Jude have lived through their home being destroyed and had to learn how to live in a tent in the rubble where it once stood. Then, their baby sister, Sham, was born in that very tent. Their parents have done everything they could over the last year to provide food, shelter, clothing, and love despite being forced to live with barely the minimum.

They have been displaced more times than can be counted. Their parents have moved the family with grace, despite uncertainty, from safe zone to safe zone. Each time, they’ve had to prioritize items they bring, having to carry everything they have. They have faced severe hunger, harsh weather, the sounds and sights of destruction, and illnesses without proper medical care. Their innocence may have been shattered, but we can still be a light of hope.

What started as a campaign to evacuate their family from the Gaza Strip to safety has now turned into a campaign for survival. The costs of essential goods has skyrocketed and the family has no source of income. This fundraiser will help provide four children and their parents with food, hygiene items, shelter, and clothing.

Baby Sham still depends on formula for proper nutrition and growth; at the time of this writing, a single 12 ounce canister costs $15. Each can only lasts a few days. A single bottle of clean water costs $2. A pack of diapers is $60. There are still three other children to feed, plus their parents. They still need warm clothing and blankets, as winter is fast approaching.
