Hey there,

My name is Chrispin Kwizera, and I am an 24 year-old Rwandan with a dream to become a nurse. I was born in the capital, Kigali, into a family of seven children, in which i learned the values of resilience, hard work, and compassion from a young age. My father, a retired security guard, worked tirelessly to provide for our family despite financial challenges. Their sacrifices have inspired me to strive for a better future not only for myself, but also for others.

I graduated from Camp Kigali Secondary School with a high school certificate in languages. Im am fluent in Kinyarwanda and English, and speak B1 level of German and Kiswahili. My studies of the German language began roughly 18 months ago, and I have studied regularly ever since then. In the past few years I have explored various paths to support myself and my family, including working as a nail artist, cook, and most recently as a volunteer in a school. These experiences taught me patience and allowed me to witness the healthcare challenges many people face, especially in poorer areas.

I also deepened my desire to pursue nursing - for which my prefered destination has always been Germany. The countries worldclass healthcare system, innovative medical practices, and emphasis on patient centered care inspire me. I am eager to learn from the best.

Very recently, I have been presented with the opportunity to start an Ausbildung in Germany by some good German friends I made. They are also the ones whose names you can find as organizing this crowdfunding. However, carrying the costs of the flight, insurance, the language classes I intend to take etc. is not possible for me or for them on our own.

I am empathetic, courageous, ambitious, trustworthy, and ready to work hard to achieve my dream. However, I´m aware that I cannot do this alone. I would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping me to become a nurse. With your support, I am confident I can turn this dream into a reality and make a difference to my own life and those of the people I hold dear.
