Hi everyone!

My name is Alecs Simone, and today I’m writing to you with a heartfelt and direct request: I need your help.

I’ve been accepted into the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London to pursue a Master’s in Musical Theatre. For those who don’t know, this is one of the most prestigious schools in the UK for performing arts. It’s where artists are trained to perform on the most renowned stages and work at the highest levels in the industry. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hone my skills and build a career that, until recently, seemed like a distant dream.

My story:

In 2022, I packed my bags and moved to London, leaving everything behind to chase my ambitions. With no safety net, I started from scratch. I supported myself through hard work, paying rent, and bills, and even taking a few singing and acting lessons. In a short time, I managed to gain valuable experience in the field: I worked as an actor in several short films and was selected for a six-month international tour with a musical inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

That experience opened my eyes: I’m in the right place, and maybe I have what it takes to build something meaningful. So, I decided to audition for Mountview, almost as a way to test myself. I didn’t expect to be selected, but against all odds, I was offered one of the 32 spots available for the upcoming academic year.

The challenge:

The joy is immense, but so is the financial challenge: the tuition alone costs £30,000. Despite always working and saving, a bureaucratic issue with my visa forced me to stop working for the past two months, leaving me without income. I’m now getting back on track, but raising this amount on my own is nearly impossible. That’s why I’ve decided to ask for help.

I’ve never asked for help before. By nature, I’ve always tried to handle things on my own without bothering anyone, especially when it comes to money. But this time, the stakes are too high. I can’t let this opportunity slip away, so I’m finding the courage to take this step and ask for your support.

Why support me?

Mountview represents an incredible springboard, but it’s more than that. It’s the chance to grow, learn from the best, and refine a talent that I hope to share with the world. I’ve always faced challenges with determination, but this time I know I can’t do it alone. With your support, you can help me turn this dream into reality.

Mi chiamo Alecs Simone e oggi vi scrivo con una richiesta diretta e sincera: ho bisogno del vostro aiuto.

Sono stato ammesso alla Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts di Londra per un Master in Musical Theatre. Per chi non lo sapesse, questa è una delle scuole più rinomate del Regno Unito nel campo delle arti performative. Qui si formano artisti che finiscono per calcare i palcoscenici più prestigiosi e lavorare ai massimi livelli nel settore. È una possibilità unica per affinare le mie abilità e costruire una carriera che fino a poco tempo fa sembrava solo un sogno lontano.

La mia storia:

Nel 2022 ho fatto le valigie e mi sono trasferito a Londra, lasciandomi tutto alle spalle per inseguire le mie ambizioni. Senza alcuna rete di sicurezza, ho iniziato da zero. Mi sono mantenuto lavorando sodo, pagando affitto, bollette e qualche lezione di canto e recitazione. In poco tempo, sono riuscito a guadagnare esperienza sul campo: ho lavorato come attore in alcuni cortometraggi e sono stato scelto per un tour internazionale di sei mesi con un musical ispirato all'Amleto di Shakespeare.

Questa esperienza mi ha aperto gli occhi: sono nel posto giusto e forse ho le capacità per costruire qualcosa di importante. Ho deciso quindi di provare l'audizione alla Mountview, quasi per mettermi alla prova. Non mi aspettavo di essere scelto, ma contro ogni pronostico ce l'ho fatta. Ho conquistato uno dei soli 32 posti disponibili per il prossimo anno accademico.

La sfida:

La gioia è enorme, ma lo è anche la sfida economica: la retta costa 30.000 sterline. Nonostante abbia sempre lavorato e risparmiato, un problema burocratico con il mio visto mi ha costretto a stare fermo negli ultimi due mesi, lasciandomi senza entrate. Adesso sto riprendendo il controllo della situazione, ma raccogliere questa cifra da solo è quasi impossibile. Per questo ho deciso di chiedere una mano.

Non ho mai chiesto aiuto prima d'ora. Di carattere ho sempre cercato di cavarmela da solo, senza disturbare nessuno, soprattutto quando si tratta di soldi. Ma questa volta la posta in gioco è troppo alta. Non posso perdere questa occasione e quindi sto trovando il coraggio di fare questo passo e chiedervi una mano.

Perché sostenermi?

La Mountview rappresenta un trampolino di lancio incredibile, ma non è solo questo. È la possibilità di crescere, imparare dai migliori e affinare un talento che spero di poter condividere con il mondo. Ho sempre affrontato le sfide con determinazione, ma stavolta so che non posso farcela da solo. Con il vostro supporto, potete aiutarmi a trasformare un sogno in realtà.
