Dear Friends, Colleagues, Neighbors, and anyone willing to help, 

I am writing to all of you asking for your help in a moment of great need.

My mom, Maria Herminia (82), despite spending most of 2020 in complete isolation and never her leaving her home for any reason, became infected with SARS-COV2 and developed full COVID19 by the end of December 2020, including bilateral pneumonia, and many other complications related to COVID19 disease. After a long battle and great care provided by my family she survived! By the end of January 2021 her condition had improved greatly, and she no longer required oxygen and was eating again, but she is still bedridden and suffering from limited mobility. Unfortunately, we noticed that she was still having moments of confusion and sometimes is not completely lucid. Her specialists determined that she is suffering from an arachnoidid cyst that is collapsing the left lobule of her brain! The cyst probably preceded her battle with COVID19, but was exacerbated by the viral infection. The doctors determined that the cyst is growing and is displacing more and more of her left brain lobule, so an emergency surgery to release the pressure by draining the cyst is required to SAVE HER LIFE. The surgery, low-pressure valve, and other medical bills are too much for me to cover at the moment. 

My mother is an awesome person, caring, compassionate, loving and full of life, who has been through thick and thin, and everybody who knows her loves her very much. I need her in my life as much as possible. I ask you all to consider donating (anything helps) to help us keep this amazing, strong and very loved person in our lives.
