Help me to Represent Our State ❤️

Hello, friends and family! I have been presented with the amazing opportunity to participate as a contestant in this year’s Miss Rhode Island USA. I am so honored and really looking forward to taking part in this pageant to represent our state. For those who don’t know what a pageant entails, there is a lot to be done to prepare! I am responsible for obtaining multiple dresses, swimwear, hair and makeup services. With the glitz and glamor involved in the pageant world, I really would like to be able to show up in something that will be up to par with those participating who have more resources than I.

Some may write this off as a shallow or petty dream, but it would mean the world to me to know I could be a source of representation for a girl at home watching who looks like me, who otherwise may not believe she’s beautiful because society doesn’t show her so. I am dedicated to this process so that in the future I can go beyond that and continue to serve as a public figure that girls who grew up like me can look up to.

Once upon a time, I dreamed of being a princess. My dream is manifesting itself in this beautiful way and I would be so gracious if you all could help me bring it to fruition.
