Hi, my name is Sonnen. For the past two years, I’ve been sailing around the world with my family. Along the way, I’ve discovered a deep love for the ocean—especially diving and exploring coral reefs. Coral reefs are one of the most beautiful and fascinating parts of the underwater world.
But sadly, many of these reefs are dying. Rising ocean temperatures, pollution, ocean acidification, overfishing, and habitat destruction are causing serious damage to coral reefs all around the world.
Coral reefs are more than just beautiful—they’re incredibly important. They’re like the lungs of the ocean, supporting nearly 25% of all marine life and helping to keep the ocean healthy.
As I’ve learned more about the ocean and the threats facing coral reefs, I’ve felt a strong need to take action. That’s why I’m raising money and awareness for an amazing organization called Coral Gardeners, based here in Moorea, French Polynesia.
Coral Gardeners is working to protect and restore coral reefs through active reef restoration, educational programs, and innovative conservation projects. Their mission is to create a global movement to save the reefs—and I want to help!
How You Can Help
I’m asking for your support to help raise funds for Coral Gardeners. Later this month, I’ll be delivering the donations directly to their team in Moorea. I’ll also be spending time learning about their work firsthand and seeing how I can get involved in helping the reefs myself.
Every donation—big or small—makes a difference. Together, we can help protect coral reefs for future generations.
Thank you so much for your support!
