Help me to raise money for brain cancer research
June 8th is World Brain Tumour Day. My lovely mum, Kayleen, lost her battle with brain cancer at the age of 42. In her memory, and to raise money for a cause very close to my heart, I will be running 42kms every week for four weeks starting today May 8th and leading up to the official date.
Her passing had a profound effect on me, my family, and anyone who was lucky enough to know her and I feel her absence every single day. I’ve found such a refuge in and love for running and thought it would be a great way to raise money for an important cause.
Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated and will be donated to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. I’ll keep you all updated on progress, and I’ll be keeping my fingers (and toes!) crossed that I can stay injury free for the next 4 weeks.
Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is the leading organisation for research, advocacy and awareness in Australia. They are guided by their mission to unite the community to increase survival and quality of life for people impacted by brain cancer.
