Help me to keep Casa Gitana Alive!

Hello everyone:
If you can read this message, it is because you surely stayed or learned Spanish with us in the past.
My name is Carlos Zamora, owner of Casa Gitana Hostel in Antigua Guatemala.
Perhaps many of you will remember me, as part of your previous trips in Guatemala.
Perhaps they remember this place not only as a hostel, but as the friend's house where everything was possible for the travelers, where since you entered through that door, we already knew your name and tried to take care of you, as a friend and not as a customer or another number. Here, where we prefer that the payment be at check out, to make sure that before everything, people were happy with the service and with their stay.
Perhaps many of you will remember the "famous" personalized map with the recommendations, the welcome talk and tips of 30 minutes or even 1 hour, for each guest, the fair prices, all those things that the same people loved and reflected in the very good reviews we always got.
Many people know that I started this place from scratch, with basic facilities, with more deficiencies than resources, but always ready to do a good job, at any time, in any circumstance.
Yes, I am still myself, in front of my hostel, because the magic was, precisely in customer service, honest service!
I endured the crisis of the volcano explosion in 2018, I also endured the temporary expulsion of Booking.com in 2019.
The competition is tough, facing the excessive competition for accommodation in Antigua.
and this year, when we finally started to remodel the house, the COVID-19 attacked us, like all of us.
In Antigua, all tourist activity fell apart since the beginning of March.
I have already, 3 months resisting, with the empty house and the broken dreams.
the savings and resources that it had were already gone, because the bills keep coming, especially the payment of the rent for the house and basic services.
Before closing the doors forever, I wanted to try my luck for this resource, the last guest I had gave me the idea, telling me that he had never stayed in such an honest place, without any bad review, on any platform.
So if you want to help me, I will be forever grateful to you.
I do not intend for donations to remain in that, I never had anything free in life and neither do I expect it.
So my idea is to raise funds to keep the hostel afloat for a couple of months more, until the tourist activity begins again.
For each donation, I will send a voucher to each donor, for double the value of their donation, that is, for example: if you donate USD.10.00 through this means, I will send you a voucher redeemable for USD.20.00, for lodging services or transfers within Guatemala, valid for the donor or any person, friend or family member that you wish to collect, on your future trip through Guatemala, since it will not have an expiration date.
Rest assured that if you return to Guatemala again, this will be your home and your stay will be free!
I have always been an extremely grateful person!
I know it is a difficult time for everyone, I hope I do not bother anyone, however I am fighting to keep my dream, my project alive, most people know that I have put all my resources, my life, my time and my dreams at Casa Gitana and it is so difficult to see it all go overboard.
Thank you for your attention, in any way and for allowing me the dignity to continue working.
Sincerely:
Carlos Zamora
