Help me to help Matthew!

Hi, this is Evy. I am asking for your help from someone I met who sincerely needs your help. Matthew grew up in Danbury and lived in Danbury for most of his life. He is 52 now. He was working in Florida, where his Mom lives.
As with many, covid struck and hit the restaurant business hard. He lost his job as a chef since the restaurant he worked for had to scale back and closed. He used whatever savings he had to pay his rent until that ran out. From his nice apartment that he lost, he ended up living out of his car. That was until the motor ceased, and then ended up homeless. He could not live with his Mom as, according to Matthew, she was living in a rest home. He ended up homeless in Florida. He bought a tent and wound up living in an area in Florida with other homeless people and he witnessed some horror stories and prayed for a miracle to get out of there! He did not see how his situation would improve and knew he was not like many of the homeless surrounded him. He was afraid for his safety.
His sister (who lives in Danbury) told him about the "Pacific Hotel," the old super 8 Hotel that is now the location for the Danbury Homeless shelter. Unfortunately, he could not stay in the shelter because an ex-girlfriend from high school works there, and he was told that it would be a conflict of interest and he would not be able to stay there.
Matthew wanted to work and have an apartment again in the Danbury area but said, "Miss Evy, How am I going to shower and sleep well enough to work the next day?" When I met Matthew I knew that he was motivated to find a job and a place and and held on to his faith.
He was thankful for being alive and the fact that I told him I can find ways to help him. He was so appreciative and was praying for a miracle.
I then reached out to Peter Brady, the creator of the Handy Danbury Handy Man (HDHM.org) charitable organization. I shared Matthew's story with Peter, who agreed to meet with Him. Peter was able to help Matthew with some funds to keep him out of the cold and Matthew was able to use those funds for a hotel room at $100/night. However, he knew that money would eventually run out..
Matthew applied for jobs right away and is now a cook at an area Hotel restaurant!! He is meeting with a Case Manager from a place called The Ark which will allow him to pay a % of income towards rent. The barrier he is now faced with is that he is short $600 for the first month's rent because he not received his first paycheck yet (which is every 2 weeks). He reached out to see if there is any way I can help with helping him to secure this apartment and to finally be inside his own home again. He said, “Miss Evy, I need to know if it’s at all possible because I need to tell the case manager by Sunday.. otherwise I won’t get the studio… either way, I just need to know if it’s a possibility… God Bless you Miss Evy and thank you for all you have done for me so far!”
So ..I am asking for any amount of money you can spare to help Matthew so that he does not have to become homeless. He is so close to living a normal life after losing everything due to the wrath of Covid! He is so grateful that he has a job and a temporary roof over his head (hotel) , but if he loses that again....how will he care for himself and get a good night sleep if homeless?
This fund raiser is going to be life changing for this man! I will manage the funds by giving the money straight to the landlord and any extra funds earned with go towared buying basic furniture and housewares so that Matthew can function in his new studio sized apartment. This is not because I don't think you should mistrust him, but I know that you trust me and I can make sure you feel assured that he will have the help he needs. If you have items for an apartment, text me or message me on Facebook. We will be donating household items as well to get him started.
He promises to pay it forward when he is back on his feet. He wants me to tell you all that he appreciates anything you can help him with. Soon, I hope I will be able to show you a picture of Matthew in his studio. With God's help, he will have his miracle. God bless and thank you ahead of time. Evy❤️
