Help me to get a transplant.

Hello Dear Folkses

I am coming to you today to ask for your help, because I truly need it. I am very sorry to ask, but I must. Please allow me to give you a little background on how we got here. I have had type 1 diabetes, of the brittle kind, since I was a small child. I have worked very hard all my life at keeping it under control and well treated. It is nonetheless a devastating illness that can wreak havoc on a person's body. It has caused me many health problems over the years. I lost one of my legs to a simple infection because of it. I had an unscrupulous Doctor install a pain pump in my back that malfunctioned and caused me to get MRSA in my spine. Which was frankly the most painful experience of my life. I laid in ICU in agonizing pain for weeks because of that and in some ways I have never recovered from that trauma. The in 2020 just a few weeks after I started going out with my boyfriend I developed Covid and spent 14 days in a coma, on a ventilator, close to death. But I came out of it, partly, I strongly believe due to the steadfast love, caring and support my boyfriend Karl gives to me. Because of all these maladies and afflictions my Father decided it would be best for me to live in a Skilled Nursing Facility, which I do. I do not require much looking after, I just cannot live by myself. Which brings us to the reason I am here today asking you wonderful people for help. Because of the synergistic effects of my diabetes and the corona virus my kidneys have been totally destroyed. They no longer function at all. I am in total kidney failure and I go to dialysis three times a week. Without a transplant, I have maybe three years to live. If I can get a kidney transplant, the skies the limit. I could live indefinitely, and my quality of life will be drastically improved. This is why I am compelled to ask you kind folkses for your assistance today. I have a very long list of potential donors already lined up, getting me a kidney would not be a serious problem. But, there is a hitch. As long as I live here in this facility, I cannot get a transplant. I have to live in private housing, with someone. This for me, is literally the difference between a short life, and a long fullfilling one. I have to get out of here. All through all these ordeals my boyfriend Karl has been there for me. He's always loved me and supported me though all the sickness and problems. He is always there for me. No matter what. What this has to do with helping me get my transplant, is he lives 600 miles away from me, but is willing to drop everything, leave almost all his belongings behind and come here to get an apartment, and live with me. So I can get the kidney I so desperately need. And we can be happy together. So I am here today asking you to give whatever you can, large or small, to help with his moving expenses and our setup expenses. We are both disabled and our incomes are very limited. As I said I truly hate to ask, but I must. My life is on the line. Anything you can do to help us is very very deeply appreciated by us both. Thank you my dearest friends.
