Hey! If you don’t know me, I’m Lydia, and I’m very excited to share where God is calling me next:

I’m going to be volunteering with Revive in Brazil! Revive is a non-profit organisation based in the North-East of Brazil that works with vulnerable children and teenagers, supporting them to have a safe, loving environment to grow in. My role will be volunteering at the safe houses there, spending time with the children and helping out with community and church projects in the area. I will be flying there on 24th February 2023!

I’ve felt God place working here on my heart for the past few years but with COVID-19 and doing the New Wine Discipleship Year last academic year, this is just now coming into fruition.

Spending the last year being an intern at my church has made me grow in my relationship with God, understanding Him and His calling for my life, so what better time to continue on this journey of His calling for me? I know these 4 months in Brazil will be a way for God to show Himself in new ways to others and myself, and give me an opportunity to serve in new areas and share God’s love!

In order to be able to fund all of this, I’m going to need the help of others. I have to save up the money for travel, vaccinations, accommodation and food while there for 4 months, training and documentation provided by CMS (who I’ll be volunteering through), plus a bit of money to start back again in York as I may not be able to get a job straight away.
