I want to share my story, and I hope that this post can spread a little bit of hope.

How I met Yuji —>
Three years ago, when I arrived in Maniua for my Workaway in Spain, I met Yuji and I felt immediately a strong connection.
She was a very shy dog who had been rescued from the streets by Raúl, together with several other dogs.
Raul had already worked a lot with her, and slowly she started to trust the pack she was living with and Raúl.

When I arrived, she was so shy, scared and we couldn’t touch her and she always stayed in the background.

Our bond
From the first moment I saw her, there was something in her eyes.
I felt that I could see a side of her that just needed time, patience, and love to grow.
We spent a lot of time together.
I trained her to walk on a leash, and little by little we created a deep bond.
Over almost two years, I watched her grow and first time we went outside of Maniua together.
She started to trust again and truly blossomed.
She discovered her playful side and her joy for life — especially her habit of snuggling her head into pillows and barking excitedly whenever we went to the OT.
Yuji is a bit older now and has Leishmaniosis, which makes her health more fragile.
The good thing is that she still has her “street dog skills” from her earlier life, but now she is in completely different circumstances.
It’s incredibly sad that after learning to trust again and to enjoy life, she is back on the streets, vulnerable and alone where she was rescuet from.

The hardest decision
When the time came for me to return to Germany, I struggled deeply with the decision of whether to adopt her or not.
At that time, I had no money and no apartment, so I decided not to take her with me to Germany.
Yuji was placed in a foster home in Valencia — but after just one day, she ran away, searching for what she knew as home.
Maniua is around 45 Minutes by Car from Valencia, so she can’t reach it easy.
Since then, my heart has been broken.
I know that if we find her again, she will always have a place next to me and my dog Milli and I’m gonna take care of her for the rest of her life.

Searching for Yuji
The volunteers and Raúl searched for Yuji for a long time, putting up posters in a lot of areas around Valencia.
Since Christmas, they have had to stop actively searching for her due to other urgent priorities within the project.
Yuji is still missing.

Why I need help
I now want to travel to Valencia myself to search for her and to keep hope alive.
Maybe that bond can bring us together again.
I work in Germany as a midwife and became self-employed in April.
I lived in Spain for two years, and financially I am still struggling.
To be able to search for Yuji, I need to cover:
• my way to Valencia (19-26.02)
• A rental car and pay gasoil
• printing and Laminating posters so they last longer, even in the rain
• keep searching for her after i leave
• 500€ Revord for the one who finds her

Maniua is a big community, and many of you know my story with Yuji — either from hearing about it or from being part of it.
It’s really hard for me to ask for help,
If you happen to have a few euros left this month and would like to contribute, I would be deeply grateful.

Hallo zusammen,
mein Name ist Jana, und wenn ihr das lest, kennt ihr mich wahrscheinlich — oder ihr kennt Yuji.
Yuji wird seit über zwei Monaten vermisst, helft mir sie wieder zu finden und nach Hause zu bringen.
Ich möchte meine Geschichte erzählen und hoffe, dass dieser Beitrag ein bisschen Hoffnung verbreiten kann.

Wie ich Yuji getroffen habe
Vor drei Jahren, als ich für mein Workaway in Spanien nach Maniua kam, habe ich Yuji kennengelernt.
Sie war ein sehr schüchterner Hund, voller Ängste und ihr viel es schwer Menschen zu Vertrauen.
Sie wurde von Raúl zusammen mit mehreren anderen Hunden von der Straße gerettet.
Raul hatte bereits viel mit ihr gearbeitet, und langsam begann sie, dem Rudel, mit dem sie lebte, und Raúl zu vertrauen.
Als ich ankam, konnte niemand Yuji anfassen.
Sie war ängstlich, sehr schüchtern und hielt sich immer im Hintergrund.

Unsere Bindung
Von dem Moment an, als ich sie sah, war da etwas Besonderes an ihr.
Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass sie nur Zeit, Geduld und Liebe brauchte, um zu wachsen.
Wir verbrachten viel Zeit zusammen.
Ich brachte ihr das Laufen an der Leine bei, und nach und nach entstand eine tiefe Bindung zwischen uns.
Fast zwei Jahre lang durfte ich miterleben, wie sie wuchs.
Sie begann wieder zu vertrauen und blühte richtig auf.
Sie entdeckte ihre verspielte Seite und ihre Freude am Leben — besonders ihre Gewohnheit, ihren Kopf in Kissen zu kuscheln und aufgeregt zu bellen, wann immer wir spazieren gingen.
Yuji ist inzwischen etwas älter und hat Leishmaniose, was ihre Gesundheit fragiler macht.
Das Gute ist, dass sie immer noch ihre „Straßenhund-Skills“ aus ihrem früheren Leben hat, aber jetzt befindet sie sich in völlig anderen Umständen.
Es ist unglaublich traurig, dass sie, nachdem sie wieder Vertrauen gelernt und das Leben genossen hat, wieder auf der Straße ist — verletzlich und allein.

Die schwerste Entscheidung
Als der Moment kam, nach Deutschland zurückzukehren, fiel es mir extrem schwer zu entscheiden, ob ich sie adoptieren soll oder nicht.
Zu der Zeit hatte ich kein Geld und keine Wohnung, also entschied ich mich, sie nicht mit nach Deutschland zu nehmen.
Yuji wurde in einer Pflegestelle in Valencia untergebracht — aber schon nach einem Tag rannte sie weg, um ihr Zuhause zu suchen, das sie kannte.
Maniua ist aber ungefähr 45 Minuten von Valencia entfernt, also konnte sie nicht einfach so zurück laufen.
Seitdem ist mein Herz gebrochen.
Ich weiß, dass sie, wenn wir sie wiederfinden, immer einen Platz neben mir und meinem Hund Milli haben wird und ich mich um sie kümmern werde den rest ihres Lebens.

Die Suche nach Yuji
Die Freiwilligen und Raúl haben lange nach Yuji gesucht und an vielen often in Valencia Plakate aufgehängt.
Seit Weihnachten mussten sie die aktive Suche jedoch einstellen, wegen anderer dringender Prioritäten im Projekt.
Yuji ist immer noch verschwunden !!!

Warum ich Hilfe brauche
Ich will jetzt selbst nach Valencia reisen, um sie zu suchen und die Hoffnung am Leben zu halten.
Ich arbeite in Deutschland als Hebamme und bin seit April selbstständig.
Ich habe zwei Jahre in Spanien gelebt und kämpfe finanziell immer noch.
Um Yuji suchen zu können, muss ich Folgendes bezahlen:
• Flüge (19-26.02)
• Einen Mietwagen + Benzin
• Laminierte Plakate, damit sie länger halten, auch bei Regen
• 500€ Finderlohn für die die Yuji finden
• Geld um weiter nach ihr zu suchen auch wenn ich wieder weg bin

Eine kleine Bitte
Maniua ist eine große Gemeinschaft, und viele Menschen kennen meine Geschichte mit Yuji — entweder, weil sie davon gehört haben oder selbst ein Teil davon waren.
Es fällt mir sehr schwer, um Hilfe zu bitten, weil ich jemand bin, der normalerweise alles alleine regeln möchte.
Aber jetzt tue ich es trotzdem — für Yuji.
Wenn ihr ein paar Euro übrig habt und mich unterstützen möchtet, wäre ich unendlich dankbar.
Wenn ihr kein Geld habt, ist das völlig in Ordnung.
In dem Fall haltet bitte einfach ein wenig Hoffnung für uns — dass wir sie finden und teilt unsere Geschichte.

Cómo conocí a Yuji —>
Hace tres años, cuando llegué a Maniua para hacer mi Workaway en España, conocí a Yuji y sentí inmediatamente una conexión muy fuerte con ella.
Era una perra muy tímida que había sido rescatada de la calle por una asociación y que más tarde llegaría junto a Raúl.
Cuando yo llegue a Maniua, Raúl ya había trabajado mucho con ella, poco a poco, ganó confianza con el y con la manada con la que vivía.

Cuando yo llegué, aun era bastante tímida y miedosa.
No podíamos tocarla demasiado y siempre se quedaba en un segundo plano.

Nuestro vínculo
Desde el primer momento en que la vi, hubo algo en su mirada.
Sentí que podía ver una parte de ella que solo necesitaba tiempo, paciencia y amor para crecer.
Pasamos mucho tiempo juntas.
Le dedique mucho tiempo y entrenamiento, y poco a poco, creamos un vínculo muy profundo.
Durante casi dos años la vi crecer, y la primera vez que salimos juntas fuera de Maniua fue un momento muy especial.
Empezó a confiar de mas y mas y floreció de verdad.
Descubrió su lado más juguetón y divertido— especialmente su costumbre de esconder la cabeza entre los cojines y ladrar emocionada cada vez que íbamos al terreno donde paseamos a los perros.

Yuji ahora es un poco mayor y tiene leishmaniosis, lo que hace que su salud sea más frágil.
Lo positivo es que aún conserva sus “habilidades de perro callejero” de su vida anterior, pero ahora está en circunstancias completamente diferentes.
Es muy triste que, después de volver a confiar y disfrutar de la vida, esté otra vez en la calle, vulnerable y sola, justo en el lugar del que fue rescatada.

La decisión más difícil
Cuando llegó el momento de volver a Alemania, me costó muchísimo decidir si adoptarla o no.
En ese momento no tenía dinero ni un piso, así que decidí no llevármela conmigo a Alemania.
Yuji fue acogida en una casa en Valencia — pero después de unos dias, se escapó, buscando lo que ella conocía como su hogar.
Maniua está a unos 45 minutos en coche de Valencia, así que no habria podido llegar fácilmente.
Desde entonces, mi corazón está roto.
Sé que si la encontramos, siempre tendrá un lugar a mi lado y junto a mi perra Milli, y cuidaré de ella durante el resto de su vida.

Buscando a Yuji
Durante mucho tiempo, los voluntarios y Raúl buscaron a Yuji, colocando carteles en muchas zonas alrededor de Valencia, poniendo varias camaras y puntos de comida y recorriendo muchas zonas rurales alrededor de Valencia.
Desde Navidad, debido a diversas urgencias del proyecto y a la falta de vehículo, se han visto
Incapaces se seguir buscandola activamente por el momento.
Y mientras tanto, Yuji sigue desaparecida.

Por qué necesito ayuda
Ahora quiero viajar yo misma a Valencia para buscarla y mantener viva la esperanza.
Quizás ese vínculo pueda reunirnos de nuevo.
Trabajo en Alemania como matrona y me hice autónoma en abril.
Viví en España durante dos años y, a nivel económico, todavía estoy pasando por dificultades.
Para poder buscar a Yuji, necesito cubrir:
el viaje a Valencia (19–26/02)
el alquiler de un coche y el combustible
la impresión y plastificado de carteles para que duren más, incluso con lluvia
seguir buscando después de que me vaya
500 € de recompensa para quien la localize.
Pero no queremos que nadie la coja, la recompensa es para quien pueda pasarnos una foto donde se vea 100% que es ella.
Nosotros iríamos entonces a por ella.

Una pequeña petición
Maniua es una gran comunidad y muchos de vosotros conocéis mi historia con Yuji — ya sea por haberla escuchado o por haber formado parte de ella.
Me cuesta mucho pedir ayuda.
