Help Me to Fight Unlawful Housing Decisions

Donation protected
Every day, vulnerable people are left homeless due to unfair and unlawful council decisions. Many cannot access legal aid, and private solicitors charge fees beyond their reach. I want to change that—but I need your help.
Why I’m Raising Funds

I am seeking support to qualify as a solicitor with the right to conduct judicial reviews in housing law, challenging illegal and ultra vires decisions made by councils. These decisions often leave families homeless and without recourse. With proper legal representation, many of these cases could be overturned—but the right help simply isn’t available.

Unfortunately, qualifying as a solicitor requires expensive training and exams, which are not covered by Student Finance. Without financial support, it could take me years to self-fund my qualification, delaying the help I could provide to those in desperate need. If I can raise enough to start now, I can begin helping people much sooner.
My Journey

I know firsthand how devastating homelessness can be. After suffering a serious heart attack, I became unemployed, homeless, and reliant on benefits. But I refused to let that define me. Instead of giving up, I enrolled at the Open University to study law, funded through Student Finance. This wasn’t just about gaining knowledge—it was part of my fight against depression and a way to understand and defend my own rights.

However, Student Finance does not cover post-law studies required to qualify as a solicitor. Unlike a university degree, these qualifications involve private tuition and costly exams, which must be self-funded.
Why This Matters to You

It’s easy to think this situation doesn’t affect you—until it does. Homelessness, unfair evictions, and unlawful council decisions can happen to anyone. Members of this group see it happen every day. When councils refuse to help, where can people turn?

Private solicitors charge between £2,500 – £3,500 for judicial reviews—an amount most people on benefits simply cannot afford. Legal aid is limited, and many solicitors won’t take on these cases. Without urgent action, countless families will be left without a home or hope.
How You Can Help

I am only asking for a small contribution from each person. If everyone who cares about this issue donates just £1 or £5, we can make a real difference. This isn’t just about me—it’s about building a future where people can fight back against unjust decisions and get the legal help they deserve.

If you believe in justice, fairness, and the right to a home, please donate today.

Together, we can ensure that no one is left to face the system alone.

Thank you for your support.
