I have been battling chronic myelogenous leukemia for multiple years now without success of remission. I’ve spent the last 11 years of my life in and out of hospitals all over the world. I am severely immunocompromised and have had countless bouts of sepsis, which has almost killed me multiple times. I had to have a total hysterectomy at the age of 22, they were unable to freeze any of my eggs because of the high amounts of radiation I’ve received. On December 6th of 2019 I had a surgically placed feeding tube put in because every time I would get a picc line placed ( it’s like a permanent I.V.) it would get infected and lead to sepsis. The picc line is what I was using to receive IV nutrients and life saving medications, but because they kept getting infected my doctors decided to place a feeding tube in. Well that got infected as well, and on February 26th of 2020 I went into the hospital for my infected feeding tube and a severe cough that’s been getting worse for over a year. Little did I know that my life would soon be turned upside down all over again. They did a chest cat scan and it showed multiple enlarged lymph nodes and 2 tumors in both of my lungs right next to my thoracic area which is right next to my heart.  So my oncologist ran a lymphoma panel and it came back positive, meaning I now am battling leukemia and lymphoma. I am terrified to death to say the least I am still trying to wrap my head around all of this, it seems like I have never ending medical problems and to be honest I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. Some days I feel like giving up but I will never give up !! I will continue to fight like I have been for the last 12 years of my 26 years on earth. But I am terrified to hear what my oncologist has to say next on the 24th of may, I’m terrified to do intensive chemo therapy and radiation therapy, my grandma did that and it killed her faster than the cancer would have. Needless to say I am absolutely, utterly terrified to the core and On top of everything else I have going on, I have medical bills coming in the mail daily and I only get a very small amount a month from disability; which is not nearly enough to live off of let alone pay off thousands of dollars worth of medical bills. I am currently on home health care; they send out a nurse weekly to check my feeding tube and draw blood, check vitals etc. They also send me all of the medical supplies that I need for my feeding tube or picc line when I have one, but soon I won’t be able to pay for home health and the second I stop paying them, they stop ALL services. On top of all of that, my doctors out here are running out of options and ideas, and they are suggesting that I get back out to the Mayoclinic; either in Arizona or Minnesota. I’ve already spoken with multiple oncologists at the Mayoclinic over the phone and they’ve told me that they have many options and trials that could really help me and save my life. The only problem is, that these trials are not covered by insurance so I have to pay out of pocket. These trials they have available are extremely expensive!!! So I am desperately asking for your help so that I can get the life saving help that I need. I know right now everyone is having hard times financially and I am so sorry to have to ask for help but this is my last resort. Please share this if you can not donate. Anything helps!!!
